We Stand Alone Together: the Men of Easy Company
Synopsis
Over a period of two years, Mark Cowen and his crew travelled to thirty U.S. states and ten European cities, to interview the veterans of Easy Company. The stories told by the veterans themselves, create a history of the Second World War from the point of view of this heroic company of men, made famous in the mini-series Band of Brothers.

Veterans of Easy Company talk about the events they lived through that were portrayed in the Band of Brothers mini-series and novel. It's a great documentary with the entire story coming straight from the mouths of the men who lived through the events. It hosts some positively priceless commentaries by the men of Easy Company. If you're a fan of Band of Brothers, don't skip on this documentary!

Bewegende Bilder.

After watching the series over 2-3 days this documentary of the real men behind band of brothers brings home the whole story.
The men of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, Easy Company are real heroes.
-
Some very brave men talking about their experiences like it wasn't a heroic act when it certainly was. A tribute to a group of soldiers that helped to shape the world and hopefully made it a little better. 18 years have passed since this doc and I'm sure some have passed away but I hope that most are still alive and are still living life to its fullest.

There are no words really. I'm no advocate for war, but it certainly wasn't a decision made by these fine, fine men.
-
A fittingly moving accompaniment to HBO's frankly astonishing Band of Brothers. These men will never be forgotten for their bravery in the line of duty.

The greatest fucking generation. Truly selfless fucking patriots.

Solid documentary chronicling the story of the 101st Airborne Division's infamous Easy Company, the same men immortalized in the limited series Band of Brothers. It is a heartbreaking, uplifting, and awe-inspiring look at the suffering and bravery of the Americans who served in WWII. Definitely worth a watch if you're into that sort of movie, which I am.

An interesting companion piece to the main series. It's wild to me how well the actors captured the likenesses of the real life guys. It really underlines just how much care and work went in to making Band of Brothers as accurate as possible.

The companion piece. It's not bad but it's a companion piece. This is just a step above a teaser stinger that major theatres will play between films to promote it. Good.

It's not easy to review this, anyone who truly knows me knows that I absolutely love Band of Brothers, I've seen the mini series countless times.
This was such an emotional documentary, so heart-rending, but at the same time so important.
These men went through inconceivable horrors, they never truly got the recognition they deserved.
I feel really fortunate to not have been born during those war years, and I admire immensely those who lived through them and kept their minds sane.
Highly recommend the TV series and also this documentary, which is a great companion to the series.
